Sync your Focal library with Dropbox

Instant Sync with Dropbox

We’re excited to bring Instant Sync with Dropbox to Focal, expanding on the same functionality we introduced for Google Drive last year. This update makes it easy to connect your Focal Asset Library with Dropbox, keeping everything in sync automatically.

Once connected, Focal mirrors the sub-folder structure and keeps all assets updated between the two platforms, reducing manual work and making assets more accessible across teams.

How Instant Sync works

You can choose between importing folders and assets from Dropbox to Focal or exporting folders from Focal to Dropbox. Once the connection is set up, Focal automatically replicates the folder structure and syncs any new assets. As long as the folders stay connected, any new files added to Focal will be backed up in Dropbox, and changes to file names or folder hierarchy will stay in sync.

Example Use Cases

1. Importing existing asset libraries
For teams that have been managing marketing assets in Dropbox, Instant Sync makes it easy to bring everything into Focal without manual uploads. Once imported, assets can be tagged, searched and used in creative workflows.

2. Automatic backup to Dropbox
If your company relies on Dropbox for long-term storage, Instant Sync ensures that all new assets added to Focal are automatically backed up in Dropbox while keeping the same folder structure. This keeps assets accessible for anyone in the company without extra steps.

This update makes it easier to manage and store creative assets without disrupting existing workflows.
